COD Vials…

CPI just came out with a 150 pack of COD vials and I decided to find out just what COD vials are used for. From what I understand, the vials are a quick way to quantitatively evaluate the substances in waste water which can be oxidized. You just put your water sample in the vial, digest it at 150 C for 2 hours then you can use a spectrophotometer to generate your results.  Our chemical mixture is slightly different than  the COD vials that our competitor, Hach, sells but they have the same result.  It can be used for the determination of many parameters in the water like nitrites, nitrates, ammonium etc. and can be used to test organic and inorganic materials. The packaging for our COD vials is 100% recyclable, unlike our competitors and our vials are available in “mercury free” configuration.
